It is generally agreed that the author of the Targum Jonathan is unknown; in fact, it is preferable to consider multiple authorship.

For while language and translation techniques are uniform, there is variety from book to : $   Hebrew. This volume contains a full double version of the four biblical books of the Former Prophets (Joshua, Judges, Samuel, and Kings).

Each verse is written twice, first the masoretic Hebrew (Tiberian vocalization) and then Targum Jonathan (Aramaic with Babylonian supralinear vocalization). This and a second volume for the Latter Prophets were both copied by a Jewish scribe in Yemen.
